March 4, 2012 will be the next San Antonio Steel Guitar and Western Swing Jam Session. Location is Converse American Legion at 326 Legion Dr. W. Converse, Texas. This is rather soon for our second jam session but we wanted to start the year as soon as we could after the Super Bowl and also we had the chance to have Dale Thomas play for us. Our meetings will be the first Sunday of each month through at least September. Hours will be 2 pm until 5 pm or later if we're having too much fun. All players are invited no matter what your level of playing. Singers, keyboard, fiddle, guitar, bass players are all invited. Bring your instrument and enjoy.
The Converse American Legion sells all of your favorite beverages and also provides a meal for around 5.00. We want to Thank the Converse A.L. for their help and hospitality.
We will also have a table available to sell any of your unwanted item pertaining to the music we play. Guitars, amplifiers, speakers, cds, etc. Please nothing that eats, smells,grows, or illegal. Hey Bro. Joe...Carol & I will be there and are bringing a few Fan's with us to the San Antonio Jam...we promise to not bring anything that eats, smells, grows, or illegal to the Jam...we really need as many San Antonio area picker's and any other's who want to attend to show up...we really do have "FUN"...

That's OK Bro. Joe...You know it sounds really funny, but I had an English Teacher in High School who spelled it the same way (Brain) instead of Brian...I always told her she should give me an "A" just for pointing that out to her...Of course she just laughed, and I ask her which College she Graduated from...Her Laughing seem to cease after that!!!!

Sunday afternoon from 2 pm- 5 pm will be our March San Antonio Steel Guitar and Western Swing Jam Session . Location is the Converse American Legion Hall at 326 Legion Dr. W. Converse, Texas. We do not charge admission but do request a small donation for the rent of the hall.
I encourage all steel guitar players to join in no matter what their playing level. We have a band with singer, drummer, bass player, and rhythm guitar, 2 fiddlers and more. Come out and set in our jam. If you do want to play please be tuned up and ready to play at 2 pm sharp.
The American Legion sells a meal for about 5.00 and the canteen will be open to sell your favorite beverages along with free popcorn. We appreciate the American Legion for the way we have been treated. They provide the meal, help us set up and take down, provide free coffee. The meal at our last jam session was 2 bratwurst hotdogs, chips, and a pkg of cookies for 5.00 Well worth the money.
