Is the sound that you get when using headphones on a Nashville 112 the same sound that comes out of the speakers?
That is, do the tone settings for the speaker also work on the headphones?

Yes the tone settings matter although it's a bit thin. It will do for practice and you can play a cd through the amp at the same time.

I get fantastic sound through headphones and my NV112, much better to my ears than all the loudspeakers I've tried including the stock internal speaker, an EPS-15C external speaker, plus others.

Thank you for your quick replies.
I hope to get a Nashville 112 in Dallas.
I currently use a Fender 25R which sounds totally crappy through the headphones, oh, and otherwise too.
Late at night my family will be able to sleep in peace and I will be hearing the real sound of my guitar.
Also, at my stage of learning it gets rather tedious listening to me practicing the same phrase over and over again.

What headphones are you using Tommy. The volume is always way down on mine. I've tried a couple of different sets of cans and none get much level. I've ended up running the line out into a mixer to practice silent, but I'd rather use the headphone jack if I could make it work well.

Any help welcome....

Sennheiser HD428

I probably have overly-sensitive ears. All loudspeakers have a hard-edge sound to my ear, compared to the headphones which are clear and transparent.

My NV112 also has an upgrade chip of some type.

I can adjust the channel volume and the master volume to balance the mix between my pedal steel and the CD input. Good setup for practice.

I'm using MDR-V600 headphones and I have another pair about the same. The sound the same to me. I've never had an output for headphones straight from the amp I ever thought was great. It's ok to practice with is all I can say.

I use a set of Headphones that are made by BEHRINGER MDL HPS 3000 on both of my amps, and they sound cleaner and clearer than other headphones that I have used. I use them on a 112 and also on a Evans SE 200. The cost of them was $29.95, plus tax. I wouldn't trade them for any other headphomes I've tried. They were recommended to me by very good player. Very Happy
