I'm going to SF in May; any recommended guitar stores? I'm not really looking to buy anything in particular, but I like to get my hands on vintage instruments, strange or otherwise. Thanks! |

And if you're able to get down the Peninsula to Palo Alto there's Gryphon Stringed Instruments. In San Jose a must visit is Guitar Showcase, not far from The Starving Musician.
If you head over the Golden Gate Bridge check out Schoenberg Guitars in Tiburon. Further north toward where I live are Bananas At Large in San Rafael and Tall Toad Music in Petaluma (a lot of vintage in that one).
In San Francisco itself one of the best Guitar Center stores in the chain (that I've been to) on Van Ness. I believe it was store #2 after the original was founded in Los Angeles.
Sorry, have to get off to work and can't provide the links right now. _________________ Mark |
