Hi Everybody,

I wanted to let everyone know that we have renamed and have moved the Annual Marshfield Steel Guitar Show!

Our next Steel Show will be held on Saturday April 14, 2012, and it is our number 8 for a steel show and it is the 7th year for our Annual Steel Show! We are now located at the Conway Community Center building in beautiful and historic downtown Conway, Missouri.

Well, because of the uncertainty for future steel guitar show locations, we are going with the name Woody's Steel Show.

In the past we have had a lot of great steel players, musicians and singers! The list of those playing past shows include:

Don Helms, Terry Bethel, Rob Parker, Dewitt "Scotty" Scott, Russ Hicks, Herby Wallace, Phil Coontz, Keith Hilton, J.D. Walters, Gene Crain and Gayla Earline, Dave Musgrave, DeWayne Bowman, Gordon Dodson, Gary Atkison, Larry Baker and Jeanne DeVore, Larry Garrett, Jerry Roller, Rudy Osborne, Mike "Cookie" Jones, Mike McGee, Jack Musgrave, Jim Sentlinger, Larry Guerdeman, Jerry Foster, Lisa Ray, Scotty Henderson, Vern Mandrell, Jimmy Burell, Dan Burnham, Tyler Hall, Jerry Newberry, Austin Stewart, Jackie Wilson, Chester Wood, Dave Tunnell, Wayne Florang, Don Hicks, Jim Morris, Johnny Spaugh, Ron Nuggent, Jim Buttrey, and well the list goes on and on. Anyhow, this will give you an idea of the super players, gals and guys we have had on past shows.

It is our hope that we can continue to host and sponser these steel shows! Rob Parker, Scotty and others have encouraged and helped us over the years!

We will be hosting an all Gospel Steel and Singing Show during October 2012 as well!

More on this forth coming steel show set for April 2012!

Thanks and GOD bless!

Terry Wood

Terry Wood is a great steel player and a wonderful person. I am happy to see that he has moved out of the previous location. I hated climbing those stairs. Everywhere you went meant climbing another flight of stairs. Also there was ZERO air conditioning in that building, and it got hot. I would like to see Trent work on getting some better recordings.

Terry, you should post the address of the location. Some people might use a GPS or look up directions on the internet.

The directions for the show are the following:

As you travel I-44 exit at Conway,MO.There us only one exit for Conway.

Next take highway J east up into the town of Conway. Travel about 1 mile on J highway turn right on South Main Street go south one block and the Community building is white with black roof.

There is plenty of parking. Hope you can make this show, it will be one of the best smaller steel shows.

Thanks!

Hi Everybody,

Well, I been fishing and on spring break from school and just got back. The wife caught the big one! Really, I fished 50 years and she out fished me this time. We are getting a taxidermist to fix her Bass! Don't laugh at me Keith! I had my line broke twice and mine got away, but her's did not get away! Here I am bragging more on her bass, as if it were mine.

Anyhow, here are some confirmed players for the April 14th show date. Yes, others are pending and as well as this year's special surprise guest, but we will post them soon. If you see your name you are a confirmed player unless emergency please notify us.

Confirmed April 14th, players:

Mike McGee, Keith Hilton, Bill Dobkins, Jerry Roller, Eddie Lane, Larry Gerdeman, Jimmie Sentlinger, Larry Baker and Jeannie, Jeremiah and Venda Hanley, Terry Wood and yes there's more to come.

Thanks and see you all soon!

Very Happy So the big one got away. Sound like a fishy story to me. Wonder if someone would let me tour the school where I used to be a teacher? Ask around if you get the chance. Also would like to know if Jack Brown is still alive?
