I finally installed BIAB on my laptop this weekend. Guess my laptop is not strong enough for realtracks.
Compaq Presario CQ60 AMD Dual core QL-64 2.1 GHz with 3 GB of RAM.
Oh well... Guess I'll go use it on my desktop and create some wave or mp3 files to transfer to my laptop.
I need to practice after all.

I tried some different styles and they worked better. Not sure why.

FWIW:
I'm running BIAB on an older laptop with Windows 2000 and much less ram, processor and drive than you have listed. It works great with one occasional issue, such as I'll describe.
On occasion, when I open BIAB , select a song file and start the song to play, the screen indicators and the actual sound will be "out of sync". In these cases, I simply stop the song, close BIAB and then re open BIAB, select my song again and go. This time it will all be in sync and away we go.
I'm not a computer guru, but I suspect that this has to do with memory allocation and such stuff that I know very little about, I just know that it works for me.

Gary,
The recent editions of BIAB take a lot of memory. The real instruments occupy a lot of space on your hard drive.
I had to get a larger desktop computer to store all the data. |

| I do HD video editing and run Cubase on a Mac Pro with 12 processors and 20 gb of ram. It always works better if I restart before booting either video or audio editing software. Don't know why, but it works for me.... |
