A friend passed on last December and I am posting to help sell this guitar. It is a Fender Triple Neck with eight strings on each neck. It has a serial number 9365. It is around 50 years old. His wife says the finish had been redone but it is hard for me to tell if it has been. It does not have a case. I have seen some on the web around $2000. They would be interested in $1700 or best offer. Anyone interested can email me and I will get you in touch with the son who is in charge. |

I have had some emails asking which model this guitar is. I will go this week and take a better look. I will also talk to the son about the asking price. |

I've seen a few Customs (3x8 with trapezoid pickups) with 9000-serial numbers, even though 9000 doesn't really dovetail with the other trapezoid sequences. (A certain Dual Professional of my acquaintance is 8-54 and 289# and about a year later, this line had been more or less replaced by the Stringmaster models. Kinda hard to imagine a dwindling line is going to fill in 6000 numbers in its last year.) I think I even owned a 9000-series Custom briefly--bought from Denver, sold to a friend, then to George Gruhn, then...?
Pending pictures, this is one observer's quiet wager from the peanut gallery. _________________ "Gopher, Everett?" |

Here are the pictures. Not good ones because it was taken with a camera phone.
I personally saw this guitar and here are some comments that I should make. It has been refinished but a good job was done. One of the keys are not original and a slot had to be cut to adapt the new key. I didn't get a close up of that. Overall, this is a nice Fender Triple 8 for someone wanting one.
If you are interested in it. send an offer to Paul and he will get it to the owner.

I have had two steel players confirm this guitar is not the high end model that my friend and I thought it was. He is now reducing the price down to $850 which is half of what it was posted for. |

The owner thought the guitar has been sold but the gentleman changed his mind. It is still available if anyone is interested. |
