'Tenderly' Yet another in the 'elevator music' collection Laughing

Lovely melody and chord progression on this tune. Got Mike Neer's Noel Boggs B11 version lesson, but not quite up for doing the string pulls...so C6 variation using the arrangement from Mike / Noel.

TENDERLY

Nice job, Mitch. Love the tone of your steel. Of course, I like how you blend some sax to the arrangement. Keep 'em coming!

Thanks Chuck... guys told me I had too much sax so I remixed with less 'conflict'. It's a bit cleaner now.

Love your's and Kay's effort together !

Sounds great, Mitch. Yes, lovely melody and chord progression. It's interesting that Tenderly was originally written and recorded in 3/4 time, back in the 1940s. In later years musicians started playing it in 4/4, so now it's heard both ways.

Mitch,

Lovely fresh sounds, great steel tone and I loved the sax combination and the framing of the backing. Enjoyed that! If that were elevator music you'd find me riding up and down all the time....

Very Santo (of Santo and Johnny fame), I might add!

More!
