Great unit! Very easy to read down on the floor, and from all angles. Seems to be built like a tank as well.
Computer software is nice so you have all your presets stored, or backed up. |

| Is this a newer model than the Strobostomp 2? If so, does it differ to operate? I really like the Strobostomp 2, but I've always hated the RECESSED SELECT BUTTON! If your finger nail isn't the right length, it's almost impossible to PUSH it in to get to my presets. Other than that, it works great! |

| Yes, it has replaced the strobostomp 2. No recessed preset button.You save any preset to come on when stomped, a built in DI,really bright and other great features.Has standard "sweetened: tunings for steel and many other instruments. It's different in that you have to program your own presets on computer with web site software and save it to tuner with USB. No biggy. Best Peterson I have owned,though. |

Let me get in on this tuner also.
Very rugged built, should last a long long time.
Another feature I found that is very handy - it has a switch on the front so when you use it on battery power
( as most of us will ) you can leave the cable plugged into the input & it will not drain your battery - when you shut it off it is off..The support is great from Peterson also.

Hey Cartwright.I bought one and sent it back.It's big and really heavy, but the deal breaker for me was the computer interface/software deal just to change the presets.It's not like i couldn't do it,it just seemed like a big pain in the butt and reading the manual gave me a headache.I have a VSam I use at home and it does work great and tracks real easy.No question,petersons are good tuners.
Anyway I like the sonic research pedal.It's small and light,and pretty easy to program-plus its a Turbo.... |

I love my new Stomp Classic. My VS-II stopped working, UGH. I thought about getting it repaired but it was so old, and bulky. I'd forgotten how much I relied on my Peterson until it quit. Nothing beats playing to a "sweetened" Peterson tuning. The strobe bars are more stable than the VS-II making it much quicker to tune. It's small enough that it fit's nicely in my pack-a-seat, and it doesn't stick out from side of my steel, waiting to get knocked around by the passing guitar player... It sits perfectly behind my volume pedal, out of the way and easy to see.
