Hi Everyone,
It is with great sadness that I must inform you that there will be no show for 2012. At least not in the traditional format or typical April date.
The show has been cancelled due to costs, location difficulties and over all change of schedules. I would like to thank you all for your support over the years and look forward to bringing a show of some type to the area again soon .
Our first show was in 1996. And pryor to posting this notice I revisited the videos of that show.Yes we were alllowed to video back then. So many wonderful memories of great players. Sadly so many have passed on. As difficult as this decision is I want to encourage you all to visit and support the steel shows. This may be your only opportunity to see these premier steel players and learn first hand there experiences and view there talents.
Thanks again for all the support over the years and keep steelin' ! Rick |

I also really hate this as I have been to every show that Rick had since 1996. I have been doing steel guitar shows for 35 years and Rick's shows were some of the best I have ever done. Also, Rick and his family are some of the finest people I have ever known.

Rick, You know I share your pain with this decision. Likewise, we had to cancel the 2011 Tri-State show for many of the same reasons. I too will miss the fellowship with all of those who performed and those who supported the shows over the years. Thank you for all that you have done to promote steel guitar in our Tri-state area. I'm sure you're with me when I say we're not done, just taking a break from the norm. I intend to do it again, and hope you do too. _________________ Zum U-12 8&6, Emmons p/p SD12U, Dekley U12, Session 2000, Peavey Session 115, Nashville 112.Tubefex/Stewart1000 Pro, Jagwire strings. |
