at 0:15-0:17 he says something I can't understand. Right after the words "while the teardrops started..."
What does he say there???!
Great tune, with great steel and fiddle. Who plays steel. my only guess would be maybe a young jimmy day. who plays fiddle?? |

After searching eight lyrics websites, they all say that line is, "It's mighty close."
As you can see, I have little to do this morning... |

I agree with Mr. Harper. I think it says "their briny flow."
Briny means salty, so it makes sense. |

The problem with those lyric/tab sites are that they are very often wrong. I use Cowboy Lyrics.com and cowpie.com and most of the time the chords and or words are incorrect. And, the same idiots post on several sites so they are all wrong. I was working on one song one time that the guy left out a whole verse. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Just tryin' to help. Judging from the replies, y'all would probably be just as happy making up your own lyrics. |

The fiddle sounds like Dale Potter to me. Maybe someone knows for sure... I'd like to know too.

I never could figure out the line "sung" by Pete Drake's talking steel on "Lock Stock and Teardrops" by Roger Miller, til this fine fellow posted it on youtube: CLICK HERE _________________ 1965 Emmons S-10, 3x5 • Emmons LLIII D-10, 10x12 • JCH D-10, 10x12 • Beard MA-8 • Oahu Tonemaster |
