My FET500 has a faint hum when I turn the volume off. I turn it up just a bit and it goes away. Should this bug me?
Should I fear it'll get worse? _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Lane,
I had one that did that. As a matter of fact it still does it to the buddy I gave it to. It seems to not be hurting anything and not getting any worse.
Have you tried turning the reverb off while amp is down? I know it shouldn't matter when volume is on "0" . _________________ Emmons/Sho~Bud/Blanton, Fender/Peavey.

I shall have to check the reverb state. I need to replace the tank with a longer one, the reverb is extremely short and tight. I don't remember if it was on or off. I only use it when my Grail is acting up _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

sounds like the amp has an internal ground loop
does the noise show up when no instrument is plugged in? _________________ Milkmansound.com |
