I got my Melbert 8 string a few days back. I'll post some pics after the sun comes out and I can get some good pictures. The ones I am taking inside don't do it any justice. It's a beauty. It plays NICE. Love it. That Wallace TrueTone can really bark when you dig in too. Dealing with Bob was a treat. Great guy with a great product.

Haven't heard anything about how it plays now that you have had it a couple of weeks. If it plays half as well as it looks and I'm sure it plays every bit as well as it looks it will be a "keep forever treasure". Very Happy

Have one Melbert Lap Steel(C6th) that I absolutely love so much decided that I'd order the second(E) Hardest part of getting a Melbert is the wait but all good things are worth the wait and the wait is almost over. Just got a pre assembly picture from Bob and thought I'd share a picture of #1 and now #1A.

Totally worth the wait. It is beautifully intonated up and down the neck. The Wallace pickup kills! Not so sad about selling my Fender now. I mean that too. This does all I want a steel to do right now and that's allow me to attempt to rip it up in C6.
