The first San Antonio Steel Guitar and Western Swing Jam Session of 2012 will be February 19, at the Converse American Legion, 326 Legion Dr. W, Converse, Texas 78109. The hours will be from 2 pm until 5 pm.
Those who want to play please be at the hall early enough to be tuned up and ready to play at 2 pm sharp.
We welcome all players and encourage to bring friends and family to enjoy the afternoon. Bring any guitars, amps, cds, etc you may want to sell or trade. Please do not bring anything that eats, grows, smells bad or is illegal.
We don't charge admission but do ask for a small donation to help with the expense of the hall. Come join us for the fun. The American Legion will be serving your favorite beverage so we ask for you not to bring your own into the building unless we have the approval of the manager who plans to be playing in our jam session. No food will be available.

Hi Zachary,
You are more than welcome to come and listen or come and participate. We have all levels of players and allow all to play at least 2 songs. We have a good time and you will get to know some of the players in the area. Bring your guitar with you and if you don't feel comfortable playing then you don't play. If you feel comfortable to play then let me know and we'll strike up the band for you or let you solo, however you want to do. Hope to see you there...jr |

| I am new to the Forum and just now read that there was a jam on the 19th of January. Do you have these on a regular monthly schedule and do you ever have them later for working guys? I have a dobro and am just now starting to try to learn this instrument. I would like to visit and watch, etc. Please let me know the particulars, if you don't mind. |

Hello Jean,
Please make note the first jam session will be on Feb. 19, 2012 and then the rest will be on the first Sunday of the month. We will have hopefully 8 jam sessions this year and will stop in October account of football and deer hunting.
Feel free to attend the jam sessions. We do not charge admission and bring your dobro. We have several who attend that play dobro that I'm sure you'll enjoy visiting with. Hope to see you at the jam session....Joe Rouse |
