Bert,
I’m surprised at how much interest my guitar generated and how quickly a deal was reached. I have no experience in participating in a process like this, and I know a few people are likely disappointed that they missed out. In retrospect, and considering I did post a firm asking price, I should have anticipated this outcome and made it clear that the first person to meet my asking price would get the guitar. In the end, however, you were the first person to say, without doubt, that you would pay my asking price, and this is why the guitar is yours.
Before we finalize the transaction, however, and now that there is no competitive pressure on you to move fast, let’s make sure that you really want my guitar, and let’s make sure that we have done everything possible to ensure a good outcome. For me, a good outcome is that you, after receiving the guitar, feel that the guitar matches my description, and you keep and enjoy the guitar.
First, I want to be sure that my use of the term “mint” does not get me into trouble. I don’t want you, for example, to be disappointed, that under close examination, that you may find some piece of evidence that guitar was played in the past, or the strings are too old, or there is a trace outline perhaps of where my steel bar once rested on the neck, etc. I want to carefully inspect the guitar (and case) with this in mind, and pinpoint and photograph anything that has a chance of being questionable. Other than old strings, and a removed decal, nothing comes to mind, but I want to be very careful. Because I have not played the guitar in years, I also want to check all the pedals and levers to be sure that there are no surprises lurking in this area.
Can you suggest anything else? You have reviewed the copedant, I see, and are fine are with it, but is there anything we are missing?

Thanks- Jim

Thanx Jim.In our several telecons and Emails I felt you were a man of integrity and that your description backed by pics was accurate. My desire is to have completely satisfactory transaction for both of us.I will get funds to you ASAP and I trust that it will be completely, properly packaged and insured so that both of us are protected.Jim I do understand it is used and nothing is absolutely perfect,You have been exceedingly helpful in answering by phone or Email any and all questions. Not to worry bout strings I change them regularlly when the bass string starts to unravel at the third fret and the winding stabs the heel of my left hand and draws blood If we can finish Thurs, great if noi will be back Mon 23rd. Will be at SW Steel guitar Show in Phoenix.Let me know Thanx Bert
