Thats some very good playing Patrick, espcially for 2 months, keep it up. Wish i had played that good at 2 months.

| Thanks, guys. It helps that I already play a handful of instruments. I wish I knew the fretboard better. With all the combinations of levers and pedals and positions, and the number of strings, it's hard to memorize where everything is. Lately I've been concentrating on C6, which is a lot of fun. |

I'm sort of in a country band, but I mostly freelance. I played a national tour this year playing drums with a polka group. I play guitar with the country group, but on our last gig I played a few steel tunes. I did Like We Never Loved At All by Faith Hill/Tim McGraw, Your Man by Josh Turner, and Suds in the Bucket by Sara Evans, as well as Don't Rock the Jukebox.
I've always loved pedal steel. It's been my favorite instrument for as long as I can remember, but I never got around to getting one because I was always buying other instruments. My last two big instrument purchases were a 6 string fretless bass from Carvin, and a Francisco Navarro flamenco guitar. I'm hoping to get a sitar, sarangi, and tablas soon =)
The song that made me fall in love with the pedal steel was the steel break on "Ballad of Thunder Road" by Merle Travis & Maphis. I transcribed it for guitar back then. I also loved Speedy West. I loved the old school country and western swing stuff, but didn't get into modern mainstream country until a few years ago when an ex lent me a Brad Paisley album. Then I was hooked!

Pretty good if you have only played two months but you can tell you know music!
Oh by the way Mrs Theresa is also married to one of the best guitar players ever! He was my Brent Mason of the day along with Reggie Young!
I still have many albums with Mr. Greg on them! Love him to death!
