Just received the Revelation 3 days ago. I played it out for the first time Sunday at a western swing get together. I've played using my Tonic for several years now and really like it still. Playing through 1 or 2 TC Furlong split cabinets. I think Brad has done some tweekin to the Rev that is absolutely outstanding. Seems the signal is a bit stronger to the effects unit (TC Elec. M-one) and they really show up in the mix. Clean!,Big,Warm come to mind. Sonically everything fits in the mix onstage while occupying its own space. I'm amazed at how easy it is to hear out in the audiance without being to loud. All I can say is the Revelation is truly a piece of Electronic Art! Thanks Brad. |

Wayne you have the best Tube Preamp for steel mate, I have had one since 2006 and it is an outstanding unit.
I also have a Telonics Pre1000 so I have the best of both worlds - each has it's place in my musical workplace! _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

I have an older Rev. that I have used for some years now, It had the pull out Mid boost knob, so that tells ya how old it is,,anyway,,I had always wanted to let Brad do a complete over haul on it , but I could never get time off to send it to Brad because I always had a gig & the Rev is the only rig I will use on stage. Finaly I had a couple of weeks off so I sent it to Brad in St Louis for an overhaul & crossed my fingers I would get it back in time for the next show.
Brad did a super fast overhaul & got the Rev back to me in less than 10 days
Now I have the same as a new Rev ! Sounds great !
I know Brad is about as busy as a frog in a hail storm,,but I appreciate the special service I recieved. _________________ steelguitarguy.com |

I've had my tonic for quite a while and always liked it, still do. But when I bought a second TC Furlong split I had to split the signal to hook up the two amps. Worked really well but I wanted a stereo signal so I decided to get the Rev. after talking to Brad. I have to admit I was influenced by Randy Beavers youtube video of the L.A.W band having fun playing. I really liked the sound (I know, he probably has the best hands in the business)but it had something special that I liked.
Richard..... I'd really like your thoughts on the differences you noticed in the updated version you now have compared to the original.
Thanks
