I'm learning C6 right now out of Buddy Emmons' book, Basic C6, but it doesn't mention how to place the feet. Do you put your left foot over pedals 5&6, and then tilt the foot left and right depending on which pedal you need and then move it over the 6&7 for a diminished chord?
Is the right foot meanwhile over the 7&8 doing the same tilt thing? What about when you play pedal 5&7 at the same time, do you put a foot on each and tilt to the side?
How does using a volume pedal affect your right foot position? What about the right knee levers? Speaking of which, my RKR only raises my higher E string, not the lower. I know the RKL is supposed to only affect one string, but from the Emmons book I learned RKR engages two. If that's the case I'll have to go see why it's not doing so. Thanks. |

Put your left foot over pedals 5&6, and then tilt the foot left and right depending on which pedal you need.
Assuming 6 gives you a 4 chord and 5 gives you a 7th back 2 frets.
Step on 5and 6 for up one fret for diminished.
It would help if you post or describe your copedant.

Ken mostly has what I do. And I move my whole foot down to P8, which he has on 4.

I'm assuming you're referring to RKR raising your 3rd string C and not the 7th, rather than raising any E string. The Emmons Basic C6th course doesn't mention raising either E string on a knee lever.
The 3 & 7 to C# change is not yet "standard"ized, though it is fast becoming so. |

My recollection of the Emmons book only has one knee, dropping the 3rd string C to B. Many folks raise both As to Bb, many raise 3 to C# (I move 3&7 together), and quite a few drop the As.
I don't believe any of those have become "standard" but have become common. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
