Well, after 28 years of playing my old ZB Custom,I feel like a kid in a candy shop. My friend Don has custom built this one for me and fellas it seems perfect in every way. Compared to my old ZB this thing is sooo smooooth mechanically and with the Jerry Wallace p.u. it has imo perfect tone awesome string separation and unbelievable sustain. It,s a 12 string 4x5 with a modified Zane Beck tuning. I tell you what guys ,ole Don is a master craftsman who won,t settle for less than perfection. The way these things are put together, they ought to come in Caterpiller yellow.I,m mighty happy with this one.

Keith,
Congratulations, that looks great. BMI's are great guitars. I have a SD12 that Don built me a few years ago and it always turns heads. I also have a new Mullen and the BMI can mix it with the Mullen any day. |

Hey Keith, I have two BMI's and I love 'em both. I have a single wide S-12 with 8 FP and 5 KL and an SD-12 with 6 FP and 5 KL. My single wide gets the majority of the action as it has my "Mooney" pedal in slot 8 which just raises the 4th string to F#. Here's a shot of my babies.....JH in Va.

Keith,
That is beautiful. The more I study up on BMI the more I think about giving them a call. What kind of lead time did you have after you placed the order?
What tuning are you running? |

Hey Damien, thanks for your input and kind words,I always enjoy your post and what you have to say. Jerry' thanks for the photos ,I always know Jerry,s guitar by the beautiful signature engraving ,theres not another one like it. Dan, I,ll get you a photo on the way ASAP.I told Don I was really looking forward to meeting you and Terry. George, thanks for your comments,The turnaround time on my guitar was 9 months due to being custom built, but Don has the flight ready and axius in stock ,and I think he,s finishing a u-12 keyless to have in stock. And George, my tuning is the Zane Beck tuning with a couple of mods that Zane King designed for me. Thank You Zane they are great! George,I guess the one thing I like most about the bmi is the ease to which you can add pedals or knees or make changes to your tuning. It,s a tinkerer,s dream. Posting tuning below. It,s E9/B6 or E13? _________________ BMI S12-ZB CUSTOM S12-NV.112-KUSTOM 11L-ZOOM 505 |

I think you would have to take a screen capture of the excel and then turn that into a jpg. There may be easier ways to do this but this will work.
Pull it up, hit the "print screen" key, go to microsoft paint, right-click in the big box and select Paste. Then hit "save as", give the file a name, and under file type select .jpg
Like I said, there might be an easier way, but I don't know it _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
