Sorry Guy's out celebrating the Christmas.

Differences

1. Flight Ready weighs 24 lbs. out of the case.
Axius weighs 32 lbs. out of the case.

2. Flight Ready - extra light legs, 3 lbs is the total weight of all 4 legs
Axius - standard leg

3. Flight Ready Neck - 3/4
Axius Neck - 1 inch

4. Flight Ready - Crossbars are milled out to reduce weight of each crossbar.
Axius - Standard Crossbars no modifications.

Both are Triple Raise Double Lower.

Thanks,
Dan

Dan, you seem like the BMI expert. Any idea on dating serial numbers? Trying to find any info on my S10, #909. Thanks, Steve

Thanks Dan. Since we're on the topic, what's the difference between the Axius and a standard S-10?

Brian,
The major differences is we changed the changer head to more rounded instead of oval. We have included this in all of our current models. The old standard was Double Raise and Double Lower, we changed all of that out to Triple Raise and Double Lower. We stopped offering the short keyhead model which used to be available and only offer the standard keyhead now as well as keyless. We went with a different HexHead for the tuning rods as well. Other than that they are basically the same.

Thanks Dan. A new BMI for $1595 is very... interesting. Is the keyless option available on either of these new models?

Keyless is not available on the Axius. Nor is it available on the Flight Ready at this time.

Dan,
We use Maple Dieboard in the tops and necks.

Billy,
We do make a push-pull. It is different from the Emmons Push-Pull. Our Push-Pull has a double changer one on each end. This is a keyless unit. The changer on the pickup end raises, and the changer on the keyless end lowers. This model is pretty incredible because you are able to distribute the the tension of multiple pulls evenly across the guitar allowing you to have 5 pulls on one pedal. The pedal action on this model does not become harder to actually pedal as it would on a all pull guitar. I have on push pull that has 5 pulls on it and the pedal action is the same as the ones that 2 pulls.

Thanks,
Dan

I had a BMI keyless steel (which I regret selling and always will) and it had the lightest pedal action I have ever felt.
If I ever buy another steel it will be a BMI keyless.
