A good overdrive/distortion pedal (I do play a good amount of rock/blues). I have reverb in the amp and really don't care for delay.

Probably a Fulltone Deluxe Wah pedal...you can't get Wah from an amp!

Actually maybe a tuner, otherwise it doesn't matter what effects you play if you're not in tune Wink

A tuner is NOT an effect.

If we take the question exactly as written, a Profex 2 is also not a stomp box. I think the intent of the question was if you could ONLY have 1 effect, what would it be. At least that is what I took it to mean. I use a Digitech RP155, which IS a stomp box and multi-effects.

I'd choose, at least now, phase over fuzz.
I'll start using a DD3 when everyone else stops overusing it

Boss RV3 for me. The most versatile stomp box I ever used.

The RP155 and the ProFex11 are both MULTI EFFECTS if I`m not mistaken.

But Profex 2 is NOT a STOMP BOX. It is a rack mount effects unit. If that was the question, I would probably try an Eleven rack.

Boss DM-2. It's an analog delay made by boss in the early 80's.

I usually can't deal with the sound of digital effects(especially multi-fx). I hear an awful high end chirpy noise in pretty much all of them, and it just gets worse the louder you play.

You are right the ProFex11 is not a stomp box. Putting that aside I would settle for the Boss CS3. Point well taken.

For an effect Id choose the RV-3: two effects in one. Otherwise the JamMan Looper/Phrase Sampler. It is a wonderful recording device disguised as an ordinary stomp box.
