Hello all of you PSG pickers, need a little OJT'ing.
Could I get some examples of using the 7th string FULL TONE raise instead of the 6th string lower. Thanks to all.

i raise string 7 a half tone which gives :

a dom 7 w: pedals A & B engaged

in the open position, an open G position using string 9 as the 5th & root on string 7
have pedal B engaged
don't neglect usin' the bar on strings 4 & 5 at fret 3
by releasing the G lever you're in D (string 9 is the root)

a diminished riff w: pedal A & the G lever
hammer on & off on strings 10 8 7 on frets 3 & 0 (open)
then up to string 5 w: pedal A at fret 0 & release pedal A

Since I also raise my 7th string, I have tabbed out several...

Do a search for "Beginners Notes" #s 129, 130, 148 and 185 for examples of how it can be used.

Crowbear is correct, it offers some nice chord options that I also need to explore. Found one yesterday that I'll put up in a few days.

You can find them all here under "Beginners Notes": https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=594320d13092d8fb

I have this change on my RKR knee lever. Here's page full of tab that uses that knee lever and many use the 7th string whole tone raise.

I've had the 7th string half tone raise for many years. Johnny Cox first set this up on my old PP Emmons in 1972. When I ordered my Franklin in Oct 81, I had it put on the RKR. I also have the 6th string full tone lower with the half tone lower splitting it with the B pedal.

Johnny told me that Buddy Charleton had it and called it his "Ernest Tubb" lever.
