My daughter was really in tune with what I wanted for Christmas!
I didn't even ask for it but she bought me Andy Volk's Book on Lap Steel Guitar. I have already started devouring it, relishing every word.

Good score, Dom, you done something right raising that kid. I wish I'd gotten one of those too!

But I did alright in getting this rarity, actually signed by Harry Owens at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel one night in the '50s http://www.ebay.com/itm/250942369359?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 I won it and then got the $ for it in a card from Aunty Peaches who couldn't go out shopping.

You'll be too old to play it, but yep, you got it, Mike. That buckle is pretty swell as well!

Thanks man - one thing about my brother, he has class. Here's some more - beer and more beer. To give you an idea of scale, the "little" one is the size of a normal beer:

Santa Lollar sent me a Supro pickup to install on my second Chandler RH-2. I had already installed one in the Chandler I've had for many years and was so impressed by the combination that I picked up another RH-2 last year and finally got around to upgrading the pickup.

I must add that I have been dropping hints for 6 months... Dog eared pages in Musiciansfriend Catalogs and asking Santa, Wife and kids for this guitar.

For those people concerned about the environment as well as the high cost of purchasing individual K-cups Keurig does make a reusable K-cup which you fill with your own coffee:

http://www.keurig.com/accessories/my-k-cup

However it is out of stock. Sad I guess that they make more money selling the individual K-cups. Another option for those people who are as cheap, er, frugal as me, is the My-Kap which allows you to reuse K-cups:

P.S. There is a 15 page thread on the Amazon forum on how to keep the Keurig My K-Cup from leaking and making weak coffee (two common complaints):

Dom, as Ron knows that guitar is in my sights too! I dumped a solid body St. Blues not long ago, and a nylon more recently as I want to go to archtop exclusively, and this is the baby I want. Ditto on the impressions please!

Those are really nice! I had the Kingpin (the one with the single P90) and wish I hadn't sold it. Did you get the TRIC guitar case with it? That's the one that looks like it is made from Styrofoam... I guess that would be handy if it fell overboard. Or if you fell overboard... Laughing

I got an Alesis IO Dock, which doesn't look very exciting, but which should let me use my iPad for some more serious recording efforts.

Like others, I love my 5th Avenue - more fun than a basket of monkeys Smile
