I have a Peavy XR 700 mixing board, and I was curious as to whether you can play Steel through it. Does anybody do this and if so are there pros and cons? Let the games begin! I asked for it so pour it on thick. Laughing Laughing Wink

It'll work just fine. I believe it has the same power amp section as the steel amps.
It might be difficult to get the tone you want. And for best results, you will want to run it through a single 15. if you run it through standard PA speakers, you are going to have to roll of a lot of highs.

In short, not optimal gear, but it will do the job
