Topic: MSA Extended E9 12 string copedant for 5x4, what was it? |

I bought a LONG time ago, in fact, new a 77 MSA E9 12 string. It was 5x4 by the way, not Universal, I tried to convert it later but not enough raise/lowers on it, it was only double raise/lower.
I have now an EMCI that I think I'd like to take back in time. So, what was the original MSA 12 setup for the E9 Extended? Anyone remember? My EMCI is a 7x4 in case you're wondering. |

I had a very early Mullen S12 extended and the original factory setup had the ABC pedals with the low B and G# following the standard changes. The fourth pedal lowered the 5th (B) and 6th (A) strings 1 whole tone. The 5th pedal was interesting in that it raised the 3rd, 5th and 6th strings to A and C# like the standard AB change and lowered the 9th (D) 1/2 a tone to C# and 10th (B) a whole tone to A. It was a nice variation on the E to A change on one pedal and fit well with moving to/from the 4th pedal.

| Thanks a lot! Now I remember why I changed it....all the other 2 pedals did was #4 raised 1st string half, 5th ped raised 6th a half. The reason I asked..I'm kinda trying to find that guitar back again '77 5x4 E9 ext. formica Classic in that brown/mahogany finish, buddy of mine who has (had) a studio doesn't play but wanted a steel there. |
