About 6-12 months ago, I think, someone posted a link to a YouTube of an awesome song sung a cappella by the BB's on TV years ago. It had very sophisticated vocal harmonies (even moreso than usual for them) and wasn't one of their big hits, not a surf or a California tune. I'd like to find that YouTube again. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Jim

It was "Zing went the strings of my heart". It looks like it has been removed along with many other Beach Boy videos probably on purpose. It was one of the "wow" numbers in the early days.

At the Radio City Music Hall tribute to Brian a few years bacl (There is a great DVD 0f the show), the program started out with the Harlem Boys Choir doing 'Our Prayer' and then came out at the end again to help out on the last song 'Love and Mercy'

Both great songs and great performances.

Been playing brian's Christmas CD lately as well, some great songs a few written with Bernie Taupin and Jimmy Webb.

here's the version from the Andy Williams TV show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1aHyjVHrHA&feature=related

so good.
i love how Brian just sings the lead part while the guys do all the complex harmonies that Brian taught each of them.

He loved the Four Freshmen no doubt, but also the Hi-Lo's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hdL6cI79ws&feature=related
