Hi Peter,

Sierra has two different models. One with the George-L 10-1 pickup and one with the George-L 10-5 pickup. The 10-5 has 5 different settings you can select from with a rotary switch. They also offer two dirrerent colors. Black and Cherry with the Cherry being more expensive than the Black guitar.

Thanks

Hal:

Is it possible to obtain the parts to retrofit the 10-1 with the 10-5? That would have to include the pickup, switch, knob and wiring diagram. I believe I can drill the hole for the switch OK. Or, a new plate with the hole already drilled.

I bought my Cherry model a couple years ago and debated whether or not to get the 10-5 at the time. Wish now that I had!

Thanks Hal,
I just wanted to thank you for all your help buying my new Sierra Lap Steel. It came right on time to my friends house, and he will bring it to me next month when he comes to Thailand. I can't wait to plug it in and hear it played through my amp. Very Happy

Thanks again,
Ryan Smith

Hi Ryan, I appreciate the kind comments. I know you will like the guitar you purchased. It was a pleasure dealing with you and I hope your friend brings you your guitar soon. I have another guitar coming just like yours as well a a Cherry finished guitar, both with the George-L 10-5 pick up installed.

Have a great day and our wishes for you to have a Happy and sucessful New Year.
