The club's Christmas Party will be this Wednesday at the jam. I ordered the cake at Winn-Dixe, Friday (that's where I've got it the last couple of years). |

Hi Don & Jack Anna Frank,Anna and I will not be making the January Meeting and Jam. We had to change our plans as Our older Daughter will be off a week in March and we will make it them. I also want to buy a ticket each month for the Steel Guitar so can you send me a E-Mail to where to send the money for the tickets.

Sam
The tickets for the non pedal steel raffle are only sold at our club jams.
This is because we can't ship it to anyone outside the club.
They will have to pick it up if they win.
Thanks for asking though.
If you are here in March on the day of the drawing you can buy a ticket then.

Outstanding jam last evening. Lots of steels including Jerry Knapper who is visiting from Oklahoma and Don Longacre a first time steeler at the club jams. Also back from the "frigid zone" is George O'Neil (NY) and Clayton Lyon (Michigan).
I took some pictures and will post them on our club web site in a day or so. It's been several years since I've posted any pictures on the club web site and it needs updating.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Next jam will be Wednesday, Jan 11, 2012. |

Pretty much a full house last night and one of the best jams we've had for awhile. 14 steel players and all did a fine job with a good selection of Christmas songs to bring in the season.
Many thanks to our fine audiance and backup band members who did a super job, Tom, Bernie, Cal, Carl, George and Tony.
May you have the joyous of Holidays ahead.

I would like to thank Jack and Don and all of the Florida Steel Guitar club for making me welcome last night. You have a really good group of players with much talent, a good backup band and a good location there at Johnny's. I'm surely going to try to make the January meeting before I head back to Oklahoma. It was great to hear both pedal and non pedal players contribute and see so many in the audience. Keep up the good work. |
