We went down to see the Christmas Show and these guys know how to put on a performance. Only negative thing I can say is; why have two beautiful D10 steels on stage and not use them is beyond me. Martha was at hers for about 3 different songs and was heard for perhaps 20 or 30 seconds total. Gary never even sat behind his though he did do a great dobro turn around. |

What ashame! About the same thing thats happened in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. They've brought in a bunch of New York Show Producers who think they know more than we do about what real country music fans want to hear. They use the Steel for a stage prop.

I ain' been to the Carolina Opry since 1989 and 1990, and the steel player at the time was a guy named Myron Smith. He played a ZumSteel and his wife Janet was the bass player. It was at that time I started lovin' the steel guitar.
