| Once upon a time a fellow around here was making Frypan lap steel guitars. I thought I got on his list but maybe not. Anybody remember who he is or if somebody around here is doing this sort of thing? |

I made some cast aluminum frypans for a few years ... But I stopped taking orders a few years ago.
Never took any deposits , etc ...
Excel in Japan ... makes long and short scale aluminum JB Frypans.
Mike D ... here on the forum ... Makes beautiful wood frypans ...

MikeD makes an unbelievably beautiful wood Fry Pan, which I had the pleasure of owning and playing. Rick Aiello made some beauties of cast aluminum that are awesome.

Good observation!
Some may find the location of that tone knob annoying...I know I did. Depends on how you like to position your left hand when you play. I'm guessing most people are fine with it. It didn't stop Jerry Byrd!
There's a long scale one for sale on this forum right now...at a very nice price. |
