Once upon a time a fellow around here was making Frypan lap steel guitars. I thought I got on his list but maybe not. Anybody remember who he is or if somebody around here is doing this sort of thing? |

Thanks for the plug Rick.
Unfortunately that website is outdated and I have lost access to it. Just contact me using the forum. |

MikeD makes an unbelievably beautiful wood Fry Pan, which I had the pleasure of owning and playing. Rick Aiello made some beauties of cast aluminum that are awesome. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

I just looked at a Jerry Byrd frypan and am wondering....is that a tone control right where you're wrist would be when you're playing? |

Good observation!
Some may find the location of that tone knob annoying...I know I did. Depends on how you like to position your left hand when you play. I'm guessing most people are fine with it. It didn't stop Jerry Byrd!
There's a long scale one for sale on this forum right now...at a very nice price. |

I might be tempted if both those knobs were on the far side. |
