I thought I'd share my tale, because I had a very annoying problem, easily solved.
I like my Grail, great reverb. I had it into the shop and about two months later, I started getting intermittent pops, squeals and other annoyments. Gentle administration of "percussive maintenance", usually with some torque, would provide relief, often one thwack per evening.
I opened the case last "weekend" and found that the jack had rotated to where the tab/prong/springy thing that rides in the notch of the tip was touching some of the tabs on the mode switch.
I turned the jack 90° and peace is restored.
Now if only I could suss the problem with the Boss Tone. Hum is greater than the output. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Thanks for that tip! I love mine, too, but it can be a little temperamental. I'm going to check it out. |
