A law office in Wilmington DE has advertised the following:
"Looking for individuals who shipped packages by UPS that were damaged or lost and had their insurance claims denied. If you believe that UPS should have paid your claim please contact us. "

I like the part that says..

"If you beleive"...

What one "believes" and what UPS Claims and Shipping Policy's state are two different things.

What the lawyers should state is that if you have shipped according to UPS Policy and damage or loss has occured, and the claim has been denied, then call us.

I don't work for UPS but I do know what the shipping and claims policies are, I ship UPS weekly for business.

here's a couple of written rules:

Electronics MUST be double boxed,(amps), High Insurance requires inspection and sign off by agent (Steels) . These are written policy statements.

I guess the lawyers are looking for a BIG BUCKS class action settlement.

What Tony said.

It's amazing how many people *don't* read the rules, nor the packaging guidelines...and then complain publicly about damage and/or denied claims.

Typical class-action fodder. Even if they don't get enough valid complaints, the idea is to throw enough sheer numbers at the defendant that they have to settle...and then the lawyers get their minimum 1/3 of it....
