| I used to watch him on TV a wonder why it was that he always sounded perfect in the mix and it seemed that no other steel player on any show could ever achieve that. It almost seemed he was holding everything together. |

| Classic example of right hand ring finger under blocking. I see many youtube videos of noisy right hand players that can't block. They should watch this. Sasser is one smooth player. I've seen him live. When they say it's all in the hands, this is what they mean. |

| Larry always played exactly what the song called for, and so in tune. To say it is a "text book BE" solo is somewhat correct. However, that statement would be applicable to just about anyone that plays well on modern day pedal steel guitar on a classic country melody. Larry was and is his own man. I could always identify his solid and tasteful playing. |
