Thanks, Joe for posting this....I am continuing to confirm players and will soon begin to schedule specific times. This is one monumental task when we have so many players; I try to accommodate each player's request as best I can. The caveat is that some of our well known players work for some big names (like Merle Haggard and Ray Price); their availability is subject to their main job. Both Norm Hamlet and Jim Loessburg have promised to be there if the show does not conflict with their "bread and butter".

Currently, the player's list is as follows, with additions and corrections to be posted as they occur:

Ron Sodos, Patrick Hickey, Norm Hamlet, Tommy Dodd, Margie Mays, Sharon Denny, Jim Baron,Dennis Beaver, Rich Brennion, David Wright, Doug Jernigan, Austin Stewart, Jerry Newberry, Mike McGee, Larry Toliver, Jim Loessburg, Ronnie Symank, Herb Steiner, Bobby Bowman, Chuck Lettes, Chuck Back, Fred Justice, Jerry Foster, Frank Carter, Bud & Geri Isaacs, Russ Hicks, Mike Smith, Jim Cohen, Kenny Morris, Dan Tyack, Steve Palousek, Bob Case, Janet Wise, Bill Cunningham, Carco Clave, Tom Mossburg, Doug Livingston, Rick Schmidt, and many others. The staff band will be Roy Rosetta, Paul Polish, Dan Range, Chuck Back, Denny Sarver, and many others. So you can see this will be the best show we have put together so far. Each year we have grown and have been able to put together more seminars, more players and promote the steel guitar.
Thanks to everyone who helps put this on and to those who will attend to help support and promote steel guitar. We will have a one of a kind steel guitar quilt, 50-50 raffles for $$, raffles for lap steel guitars, and a lot of other fund raisers to help cover the expense of putting this show on.
Please come to Phoenix for our show on January 19, 20 and 21, 2012 and help us celebrate the steel guitar!!

One of the big reasons why I love the show is that I get to hear Rick play pedal steel, and get to play with him on my set.

Joe & Billy,
Someday, I would like to be a part of your great show.

Roy Rosetta has told me many great things about the show.

It's a long way from Atlanta, so flying would be the only way.

Thanks for all the great notes on here.

Dan, Rick and Chuck it is a great show because of guys like you and many others - and the fact we are all there to have fun.

Bill I know how far it is from Atlanta since I was at your show out there - come on out the weather will be great.

ONE MORE THING - MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS THROUGH THE SHERATON CRESENT HOTEL AND CONVENTION CENTER AND TELL THEY YOU WANT THE "SOUTHWESTERN STEEL GUITAR ASSOCIATION SHOW RATE" - it is a better deal than you can get on any other site (I am told) - if you get a better rate somewhere else let Billy or I know and we will try to get ours lowered too BUT - I do not expect it anywhere for those dates.

Mike - Knew you were on the list and know you like to come to 70 degrees - might want to leave a week early this year - I remember the police up there were arresting people just for being on the road.

Something called snow and lots of it - that stuff belongs on TV and on post cards but if you want to see some we can arrange a bus to take you 2 hours north and ski (without a boat in front of ya)

Glad to see you coming.

I just booked a room. Like Joe said, mention the show when you book a room. The savings is significantly better than the internet, AARP or AAA rates. There still are rooms. Sheraton phone number is: 602-943-8200

Rick - we do not have the schedule yet but it will be Saturday afternoon - we do have a list of players that was in the newsletter.

I will get that on here this evening plus answer the cost of the classes but I simply want to get those costs confirmed first.

Joe, Billy, thank you for your hard work in putting this show together, its one of the best in the Country.
This January Show, one of my very bestest friends has been invited to play the Show, Mr. Mike McGee from Springfield Missouri.
If you have never had the opportunity to hear Mike play you don't want to miss it.
Larry Toliver, a long time friend from Abilene Texas has been added to the mix as well, another fine player.

Its looking good boys and girls and it is going to be one of the best ever!!! Make your plans now to attend. Very Happy
