I'm ready to part with one of the Emmons steel guitars in my collection. This one, I got from my brother Mike about 6 or 7 years ago. It's been in my music room the whole time I've owned it. I never really played it much. I changed it over to the "Day" set-up. Now I'm buying another one, and can't really justify owning so many that are just sitting in thier cases. I can't seem to work my computer well enough to figure out how to post photos. Maybe someone can help me with that. Anyway, it's a Rosewood Mica D-10 Push/Pull with 8&4 I think the year is about 1985...$3100 + shipping. Thanks, Tommy.......

Well Tommy...I'm still in the neighborhood, I'm still playing, and I'm looking for a double neck (Emmons PP is definitely on the menu with a few other brands). Darn it...I need the Emmons set up though. Best of luck on the sale from a neighbor.

We have no idea what year this guitar is. The ser.# is 6495.... which makes no sense to me, because it has no D included. Thanks, for looking. Tommy.......

I own #6505... Same narrow pedals, also a push pull, but mine is a lacquer guitar... This is an early 80's guitar... This was the last run on of non re-issue pushpulls, they used a different serial number sequence on these. These are very well built guitars. Good luck on the sell! _________________ Emmons P/P's into the loudest amp I can get ahold of. No effects other than reverb. EVER!. Come catch a show and be sure and say hi! |

Thanks Bob. Yes, I like Push/Pull Emmons guitars very much. There's nothing that sounds quite the same to me. I think there is someting to be said about the fact that the fingers of the changer are pulled tightly against the body of the guitar when the pedals are down, and it just creates a reasonance all it's own. Or maybe it's the aluminum necks that give it that bell like tone. Whatever it is, I love it. That's why I have six of them. This is the first time I've ever thought about selling one. I hope I don't regret doing it. Tommy....... |

Tommy
Yours is earlier than '85, and I'll say that for two reasons. First, I own #6620 and it's a 1983 guitar. Secondly, my '83 has Sperzl tuners and yours has the earlier Klusons with keystone pegs. I'd say yours is a transition guitar, probably '80 or '81.
Jack Strayhorn would know fer sure. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

Yes, I agree. Looks like you have four, and right now I have six. Does that mean I'm winning? Tommy....... |

No, not really. Sorry but I'm not really interested in a trade of any kind. I just have too many steel guitars already and should sell at least a few.
Thanks anyway, Tommy....... |
