Just wanted to say a big thank you to The Neighbors for a great weekend. I so enjoyed all the pickin and the fellowship. For some reason we all seemed to have more time to just enjoy visiting. The back up band was great Thanks go out to Roy, Bob, David, Ronnie (he's a knocked out six string player too!!!) and Buck. You made me sound great even when I was fumbling. Thanks to Rob Parker for keeping things rolling and for the great vocals. Also Kudos to Gary Atkinson for singing. All the players were great. It was especially cool to see and hear Scotty play his new six string lap. His tone and touch was awesome. Austin you are kickin it my friend and your steel playing is something to wake up to and we did!!!!(hehehehe inside joke) Two many great moments to mention but all will be cherished. Thank you again for a great time and i'll be back as long you all will have me.

I would also like to thank Ronnie and Faye for all the fine hospitality. As Scott mentioned, the band did a great job, as well as all the steelers. We really enjoyed visiting with you all and hearing some great pickin.
Made my weekend to get to hear Gene Simmons play again. Gene helped me get started on steel about 30 years ago. Super picker and a super nice guy.

Ronnie and Faye,
Thank you for another great show, and a chance to visit and hob-nob with some of the finest people, and also get to listen to some of the finest pickers
anywhere... ...I had a large time, and I thank the steelers for allowing me to share their stage..
It just seems to get better and better every year..
For those that couldn't, would not or just did not attend, you missed a quality show..maybe you can come next year..
Thanks to the great stage band,..you were really in the groove... and all the steelers, you did yourself proud...and Gary and Janice, your vocals were so fine..and also the one that sang with Gene..did the Mel Street song..good job...
See you soon I hope...

What more can I add to these great comments from those who have been an important part to make this a successful show. Ronnie and Faye are the best at making all of us feel at home and comfortable with the format of the show. Every Artist performed at the top of their game which made it a very exciting show. I will not try to mention all of those who participated by playing or the staff who kept things rolling. IT WAS TRULY ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS SO FAR. Thanks a million to Ronnie for continuing this great tradition, even under the toughest of conditions so quickly after losing their home and everything in it. Ronnie and Faye have a great attitude and that makes things much better for all of us. I must commend the great band. They were really on the mark. I know that Roy was not feeling so well but it never showed in his performance. Thanks to all who helped make this show another success. Keep the Faith. God Bless,
Wayne & Perceline |

What a great show it was! I was only there for the Friday night show but it was great. I appreciate all the nice comments about my new "Scotty" Frypan. I especially enjoyed the tune "The Night I Came Ashore". Rob's singing inspired me to play a few licks that I had never played before on that tune. He has a way of doing that, not only for me but for other players as well. If ever there was a friend to the steel players Rob is one of them. The other one is Bobby Caldwell. He has the ability to change his style of guitar playing to match what the steel player is playing at any given time. Thanks to the band, especially to my long time friends Roy Rosetta and Buck Grantham. You guys are great as was the other band members.
Of course, one of my highlights was Scotty Henderson. He played the style that we all remember from the 40's and 50's western swing style. He should take his act on the road. He sings as good as anyone. He got a standing ovation and rightly so!
Thanks to Ronnie Neighbors, the band and the audience for making this years show one of the best, if the best!
One more thing. I was getting a "glare" on my fretboard and a guy from the audience came up and blocked out the glare so I could see my fretboard better. Thank you, whoever you are! Scotty |
