I recently asked on this forum where to source some replacement parts (changer springs) for my newly acquired D10 MCI. Some springs were corroded and others were a little weak. Michael Yahl responded and I subsequently ordered some replacement (and adjustable) changer springs and brackets that fitted exactly on my guitar. I have put some before and after shots below. Michael is a good guy to deal with and recommended. His web site can be found at http://www.psgparts.com/main.sc

C6 springs (before)

Now I just need to source some pullers (bell cranks). _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator. Telonics TCA-500, Webb 614-E, |

I agree, Michael is a great person to work with. I was having trouble with a knee lever bracket I had bought from Michael slipping on the shaft on my MSA. The bracket Michael sent me the first time was identical to the original MSA bracket which also slipped on the shaft when I press on the knee lever. Michael improved the design on the bracket and sent me a replacement part at no charge!
Now the knee lever is solid as a rock, no slipage!
Great job Michael!! |

I've found Michael really helpful in assisting me in getting my MSA Classic up to modern changes. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Michael makes GREAT stuff.. Not sure there is anything he can't make, and he makes old parts even better than the originals. _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

I also agree. The Sho Bud barrels that I got from him work perfectly and look just like the originals, just brand new. This guitar tunes up and stays in tune perfectly. His work is highly recommended here. |

I made the exact same mod on an MSA I had in the early 70s. I made the angle brackets, but I bought the adjustable springs from Sho-Bud. It played much smoother after that. |

I got one of his end plate tuners. First rate quality all the way and easy to do business with. I'd give him an A+ for service.

I agree with everyone. I contacted Michael about my MSA issues and within a couple weeks I had everything I needed to get my 1974 MSA Semi-Classic up and running. Anytime, I have a question about different parts, he's always there to answer. He's an awesome guy to deal with and talk to. I just had the body and legs, and Michael made the rods,, pedals, pedal bar etc. And this is a pic of my baby with everything!!!
