I second that emotion! I have had my fill of Jimi Hendrix tribute albums with the same stale riffs aping Jimi, but Steinar has come up with something completely different as he gives the songs his own original treatment. I like his YouTube video which features 30 seconds from each of the songs on the album! More artists ought to do something like that (unless they don't want you to notice that all of their songs sound the same.  )

Steinar's music has gotten great reviews every time I've seen it mentioned in publication.

Thanks for asking, Mitch. Unfortunately, there's not much "grit and growel" coming from me these days, only "whining"..
I have a bad case of "guitar shoulder" (or something), got it in late June and it's only become worse, even after three different anti-inflammatory cures and a month of physiotherapy. The shoulder isn't "frozen", I have full mobility in it, it just hurts like a real bad toothache and has spread to the whole left side of my back. So I can't play any lap steel at all, and only short intervals on regular guitar. Done a couple of short gigs since this happened, and only way to get through those was to get high on painkillers..
But I'm off to see a specialist in "athlete's injuries" tomorrow, and at the rates he charges he'd better come up with something good!

ALSO, to Mr. Ahola, I did some sessions with an R&B/ Soul band recently (playing rythym guitar parts) AND we did jam to "I Second That Emotion" Make it Smokey!

Steinar, if you can, please look into the Alexander Technique and if there is a practitioner in your area.

Ron,- tomorrow I'll have a thorough ultrasound scan, and I also have an appointment at an X-ray center in December. Hopefully they'll reveal if there's anything more serious going on.
Mike,- I checked the Alexander Technique a while back, after another friend suggested it. Unfortunately the nearest practitioner is in Oslo, which is approx 4,5 hour bus ride from where I live.

It is an awesome book and I recommend it, Indirect Procedures: A Musician's Guide to the Alexander Technique by Pedro de Alcantara.
