Hal, the 5 star Stafford Barnyard Apt. has been spoken for by Ray and Sandra Harrison. These folks are coming all the way from Arizona and deserve the very best in southern hospitality accomodations. Give R.J. a call and see what he has.

Well, been woodsheddin' (a lot) been asked to leave two neighborhoods, and threatened with arrest for disturbing the peace. So, I promised I would use earphones, which I did, (my earphones are a set of ear buds, then I put my shooters ear muffs on over them,) I call it my red neck Bose noise cancellers. All kidding aside I'm so excited about being able to be on stage with the caliber of players that are going to be at this show. I am honored to have this chance and am not taking this opportunity lightly. Thank you Bill for your confidence in me. By the way the earphones work fine.

Thanks for understanding Hal. I have you on both days. You can see the Friday lineup here. I will have Saturdays line up soon. I want you on the Sat. program probably around 9 PM or thereabouts and want you to do a program remembering John Hughey. I have heard lots of players do "Look At Us", and very well, but none as good as you with your playing and magnificent voice. Your program will be the last on the schedule, just before we have our DSSG steel line up to finish out the night as we usually do.Thanks for your support.

Bill, We will certainly enjoy our visit and the show. Such Southern Hospitality.
I understand that the Barnyard Apt. surpasses a Honeymoon Suite.
Thanks so much for your friendship over the many years we've gotten to share.

Things are really shaping up for a good time on the coast. I have Saturday's line up ready, and will post it early next week. Waiting for last minute changes.
Glad to see that Gordon Dodson's neice will be playing his 14 string Julian tuned pedal steel guitar this time. She was playing a non pedal two years ago on our stage when she was 12, now two years later, she has graduated to Gordon's pedal steel. He is her teacher, so this will be so good to see a beautiful, blonde, long haired gorgeous young girl playing our beloved instrument. Gordon's show will the the kick off of THE EXCEL SHOWCASE TIME with Steve Sanford following on his Superb-12 string, then R.J. Buras on his Superb-12, then I will do my best (hopefully) on my Superb-14. Bobby Bowman will follow this with his Jerry Jaye warm up program. Jerry gets to warm up for Rudy Osborne. More too, before and after this listing here.
Our Friday program features Pee Wee Whitewing and Albert Talley on individual programs. I would like to have them together on Saturdays show "Remembering Hank Thompson" if I can get them to agree to this. Hope so. Their time slot would be just before Gordon's program.

And, not to forget-we will have one of the very best sax players in the business to add to our program-Jerry Ball plays with all the very big Vegas shows that visit our casinos here on the coast-from shows like Natalie Cole and just recently one of the best Elvis performers, Bernard Bennet. Jerry and Bernard invited me to their show a few weeks ago. Got to meet and visit with Bernard and his show performers before the show started. Jerry will be a large edition to our music status all through the two days.

SURPRISE! SURPRISE!!
Just have been informed that Mitsuo Fujii will be a big part of our Gulfport show this coming weekend. Our EXCEL SHOWCASE TIME has really been improved with the designer and manufacturer of one of the very best pedal steel guitars in the world. This is a big honor for me to have Mitsuo come all the way from Tokyo.

So Junior, you could make it even better by being there.
Why heck, I would even share my portion of the show with you. It would be fun setting up beside each other.

Come on down, er, I mean over.

And to top off Bill Ferguson's offer, I would even develop a slot for Jr.Knight. That would even top it all off. Thanks again to all for this wonderful support. This gathering gives my deep south friends the opportunity to meet, greet, hear and visit with some of their steel guitar "gurus" that they never have the opportunity to meet at the really big shows in St. Louis, Dallas and Phoenix. Everyone is so appreciated.
