This young lady is a frequent guest on our Georgia Mountain Fair shows. I am glad she records her performances and puts them on YouTube. These are from last weekend in Hiawassee, GA.

It would be nice to rehearse some time. We get a card with the song title and key (most of the time ) just before the guest walks on to sing! We had some warning on "My Kind" and made a quick chart. I understand it's Vince Gill; I had never heard it. _________________ Bill Cunningham

Bill, You sound so "fine" on both songs, and the lady and gentlemen singing are as good as it gets. I was supposed to be up there with you this week but my ship didn't come in. I'm with you in spirit, tho. I've watched the Farewell Party over and over. It just doesn't get any better than Bill's steel work on this. No offense to anyone, but I know if this was one of the popular pro players, everyone would be drooling over this. For me this is a masterpiece. I know it was spur of the moment, but I don't think all the tab and pracice in the world could have produced any better results. Credit where credit is due. My $0.02 anyway.

Great playing and tone, Bill. It looks like you're using your Furlong cabinet. What do you have in line in front of it? |

Wish I was closer, I'd sure come out to hear you work your magic. I think that young lady has a great voice, and also has a bunch of good Youtubes up. Fine singer. |

I have been in the big Wisconsin north woods on my annual grouse hunting trip and am just now getting back on line and wanted to thank you all for the feedback.
Playing with these guys really inspires me to do my best and when we are joined by fine singers it's even better.
Roger, regarding the set up, it is my 1999 Carter (BCT), Goodrich standard vol. pedal, Alumitone p/ups, MPX-1 reverb/delay, and a Sarno SMS to the Furlong. I have been really pleased with this rig. The Furlong was the cherry cobbler and adding the Sarno and MPX was the ice cream. I got the MPX-1 from a forum brother in Minnesnowda. It was set on a program called "John Hughey 2" and I haven't found the need to tinker with it! Each time I tihnk I need a new guitar, I will listen to one of these tracks. _________________ Bill Cunningham
