what does he do with the "C6th" neck? I saw only 4 pedals on a D-10 Zum.

Wayne's quite capable of tearing up the back neck, Dave. Maybe just not for that show.

Yea, I saw Wayne playing on the Good Morning America show today with a Zum D-10 with only 4 pedals. Why was that?

Wayne Dahl is a smok'n steel guitar player. I wish he would get the opportunnity on T.V. to tear it up on a steel instrumental. A VERY advanced master player. People don't know.

Late Night with David Letterman last night. I was going to watch, but I was whipped and just conked out.

You don't have to watch the whole thing Theresa. Click on the last button there underneath the video. You still have to watch a few commercials, but not the whole show. I'm sorry, I don't know how to isolate just that portion. Computer challenged. Laughing

What's not to like about Martina? She's a great vocalist. A gorgeous, sexy and seemingly nice woman.

As for Wayne, he's a monster player on both necks and has been for years.

Possibly my favorite Martina song.

Click above link. If memory serves me correctly, Charlie Whitten on steel guitar. Great stuff.

By the way, is this Charlie in this video?

Too bad they cut away in the middle of the solo.. Wayne is a killer player..

The band is very good and Martina rocks.

What's not to like about Letterman? lol ... He's a sarcastic smart a@@ that doesn't talk down to the audience like Leno, who thinks he has to explain the punchline to every "joke" he tells..

A few years ago i was given a cd of 18 classic country songs titled , " Martina-Timeless ". All the tunes were classic hits , " blasts' from the past ", the credits listed Mr Paul Franklin as the " master steel blaster." (my words). Don't know if Paul's in all of the songs , but the steelz great, harmonyz great, and Martina's great on the old stuff too.

Probably didn't hook up the pedal rods for the C6 neck since he was only doing the one song on E9.

My guess...

1. Buying it a piece at a time...
2. Got rid of them tone sucking pedal rods...
3. Rods put it over the Airlines max weight limit...
4. Left them at their last gig...
5. Little to much bling...
6. Only had four straight ones...

But probably... Laughing

7. Being the pro he is and knowing exactly what he was going to play, working within the time constraints allowed by their production. Did only and exactly what was required to get the job done. Not like they where taking requests, right?

If you leave the C6 pedal rods off it lowers the temptation to play "The Two Week Notice" neck.

Skip, Paul plays steel on every song on Martina's "Timeless" cd.
