I sold a Nashville 400 w/ Ken Fox mod to a Jazz player over a year ago and had not spoken to him until last night. The 400 is now being used for bass. Wonder how long the 1501-4 will last ? LOL Laughing

The speaker can handle bass frequency OK. It's the open back cabinet that will kill the speaker. He should rebuild or revamp the rear panel to a closed back for bass use.

I've played with guys at steel shows who used NV400's with a bass at low to moderate levels with apparently no ill effects.

I've got a TubeWorks cab with a rear closure panel and a 1501 that I've used for bass several times as well.
