Well, looks like we're moving into the time of year for the PSGA Show in Norwalk. This will be the 33rd annual show.

Less than two months away. I always enjoy and have a great time at this convention.

In all the years I've been a PSGA member, I've never had a chance to get to one of these shows. Won't again this year. But, maybe someday.

I always enjoy the PSGA Show. There are so many great players, plus the show is run so smoothly. I am going to present another E9th Seminar at the PSGA Show on November 11. The seminar will be from 8-11 AM. Please bring your steel guitar, some amplified headphones and a music stand. I plan to discuss ways of working up steel guitar songs from sheet music, although you really don’t have to be able to read. Instead, I rely on chords and their positions, a unique way to develop your ears to hear melody to play a variety of songs. I will illustrate this skill with three songs and some exercises to help you develop your own techniques and styles. I also will discuss bar technique, developing steel guitar smoothness, and using delays to create a more full sound (if time permits). I will also show you how I work up my arrangements for the PSGA Newsletter. I plan to gear the material to players of all levels. In addition, to help make the experience more productive, I will provide you not only with the music and steel guitar tablature, but also with two CDs that are filled with the material that we will discuss. Included on the CDs will be my audio instructions, the rhythm tracks and the steel guitar blended with the rhythm tracks. That way you can leisurely take notes, knowing that the material will be waiting for you to practice when you get home.
The cost of the seminar is $50, and I will donate $5 back to the PSGA for each participant. It would be helpful to pay in advance by check or money order. That way you are sure to get the material when you arrive for the seminar. Of course, you are welcome to pay at the door. The PSGA Show is always a treat.

Very Nice Chuck. People should jump on this opportunity. It also gives back to the PSGA which is a very generous thing to do on your part.

I think it's very important to support the steel guitar organizations. We want to keep them around for a long time.

Aside from perpetuating the instrument and music that we love, we also meet, make, and keep friends throughout our lifetime.

What would we do or have without them?

Chuck, I'll see you in a few weeks at the HSGC.....

I will also be at this great show again. Even though my playing is not up to par, I am going to try it. This is without a doubt one of the best shows I do. Everything is first class and the band as I say every year is one of the finest around. Also, the audience is one of the best anywhere as they are very aware musically and appreciative of each player. I am looking forward to being there again, and I do appreciate P.S.G.A. giving me the chance to try it again.

PSGA is a top class operation and I will consider it a real honor to be the emcee for their event again this year. Bob, Jeff, John, Darlene and all of the bunch do a fantastic job to get it together.

Herby, I heard you in St. Louis and it will be a thrill to have you on stage to play. You will someday be back to 100% Herby Wallace but as of now you are better than most players that ever graced any stage.

It will be again a pleasure to have Chuck Lettes, Bob Taileffer, Mike Sweeney, Joe Wright and so many others (mentioned in full on the PSGA web site) to play at our event.
