Yes, it was Marc Muller. He was Shania's steel player on her "Come On Over" tour back in 1998. He played a Derby with Shania. Not sure if he's with her now, but I went to a show in 2005 where I saw him playin' steel with two guys called Van Zant Brothers.

It is easy to play the steel guitar. Playing so that the audience finds it pleasing is the difficult act.

Nothing wrong with it I guess, but it all looks like a TV commercial with everybody moving, prancing, preening, etc. and lots of quick cuts (editing) and moving steadycam shots which have become stereotypical now, because it's been done to death. It's almost as if to say, "there's no substance here, so we have to make up for it in other ways." |

....and chaps with no jeans underneath? Pardon the imagery, but the first time I saw her band (on TV) I thought they were the Eurythmics. Not kidding. |

I would love to have played in that band..Just imagine the people you would meet,,and the places that you would be playing,,let alone playing with one of the biggest stars in the music business...Shania is one of the few that actually sings in tune during a live performance...I love her music,,and she ain't too bad to look at either....Carson |

Hmm, lucky for me I'm not a pro so will never have to worry about playing pop pap in hockey stadiums for hordes of stoned children, hotel room after hotel room, never seeing my family for months on end, and all the rest of the soul-destroying trappings of our warped entertainment culture. |

not that there is anything wrong with it, but....shania was the leading force in what i call the era of 'little girl pop music' topping the country charts today. |

The guitar player on the right is playing a Variax guitar:

BTW I think it's a good mainstream song and I wouldn't turn off the radio if it was played. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |
