I like reverb with just a single "tick" of a delay. |

I agree with Erv. There's nothing I hate worse (well, actually there is) than hearing a distinct second note after the original note when I listen to players and can't stand to hear me play with a delay. A single repeat that seems to be part of the original note sounds best to me. Although there are times when a distinct second (or more) repeated notes are effective in certain songs or situations. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . There are all kind of opinions out there. I say some don't know good tone when they hear it. Experiment with both reverb and delay and when it sounds like what you hear on your favorite records then you got it.If you are not good at blocking strings and know when to let them sing then no setting is going to sound right on everything. Of course some fast songs are more easily played with no delay and less reverb but that is usually on real fast songs. |
