For sale is my 2003 Williams 400 series SD-10. I'm feeling guilty having this fine guitar sit in my music room being ignored, so it's time to send it to someone who will give it some playing time. It has 4 pedals and 5 knees, natural birdseye maple finish, and a Bill Lawrence XR-16 pickup. It is in excellent condition with only some minor signs of use, including 2 small bar dings on the pedal bar. Copedent is as shown below except for the addition of the Franklin lower on the first pedal. Asking price is $1,950.00 plus shipping. Contact Ray at ras@sonic.net

No questions, comments, offers, or emails? Will a price reduction help to get some sort of action for this guitar? |

Ray, looks like a great guitar. Not every steel sells after 4 days on the forum might need a little more time. Might need to move that EtoF change over to the LKL for most players.

A couple of unusual knee positions, (easy fixes), but this looks like one heck of a steal, I mean steel. RP _________________ Emmons SKH Le Grande, '73 Fender P/J bass, Tick tack bass, Regal high strung, USA Nashville 112. |

I am thinking that myself. What's up with the switched knees? |

The knee levers are perfect if you play 6th pedals like I do. Of course I have seven pedals and move my left foot a lot more. Larry _________________ U12 Williams keyless 400

"What's up with the switched knees?" While it may be more common, not everybody raises and lowers the E's with the left knee levers. Check out the "Copedent" section of this forum. My first pedal steel had the E changes on the right knee. That's the way I learned, so that's what I ordered for this guitar. |

Ray,
I don't think anyone is trying to be rude. But the knee lever change that you have on your guitar is not common. Some people work on their steels, others will never touch more than the tuning keys. So if the pedal set-up is not what they want, then it most likely would stop the sale.
Best wishes,
You are offering a nice guitar at a very good price.

Mark, I'd like to sell this guitar outright, not really interested in a trade. Thanks for the offer. |
