This old ZumSteel D-10 was built to last. It's been used but not abused, still works well and sounds fantastic. $2750 + shipping.

This guitar was built in 1981, so it's 30 years old.

Sorry, no trades.

I'm selling it because I need the money, Steven. No other reason - there's nothing about the guitar that I don't like.

Too bad b0b. I got rid of a perfectly good push pull for the same reason...

Not to pick a fight, b0b, but according to the serial number, it's a 1985 model.

I believe the 85 means 8 floor pedals and 5 knee levers. I remember reading that, somewhere on the ZumSteel website or the sight with the pictures of all the owners and their ZumSteels.

Looks like the serial number says 1981

I wouldn't want to misrepresent it. It's 1981, not 1985, according to the serial number on the endplate. I believe it's all original - it doesn't look like it's ever been disassembled.

my first Zum was from that same year
it was a great steel & it's still goin' strong
i really liked the conception of those models
i prefer those bellcranks to the newer ones actually
& those vertical levers were dynOmite

If you buy b0b's Zum, I will provide you, the buyer, with fifteen original 3/8ths axle bellcranks so you can have spares.
No charge.

Great looking Zum b0b! Smile For anyone who is lucky enough to get this Zum, I'll throw in a free BIG Tuning Wrench even though you probably won't need to tune this Zum very much! Very Happy Carl

Hi there to all in the states.
I am the buyer of this fine guitar. Funds are in transit. Although I am only new to this forum I am born again steeler. Have have a number of guitars over the years. Sold my last one (MCI D 10) about 10 years ago and have been without ever since. Got bitten by the bug again and needed a fix I guess.

But I just can't believe the generosity shown by Chris and others who want to contribute a little something to an unknown purchaser.

Thank you very very much indeed.

I just hope I can regain my chops.

Chris

Chris,no matter how much I enjoyed your playing that old blue Zum at the Bishop Tri-County Fair, I never did send you kittens.
