I am selling this 1979 Emmons push pull guitar, Serial # 2754 D, for a friend of mine. It has been very well taken care of. I have not done any custom work on it, but have checked it out. It is in very good mechanical condition, plays & sounds great and it is definitely black. The floor pedals are the standard Emmons set up. Knees are LKL raise 4 & 8, LKR lower 4 & 8... RKL raise 1 & 7 whole tone ... RKR lower 2 1/2 & 1 whole,lower 9 1/2. It comes with a case but it is in poor condition. Any white spots on the front or rear apron are the reflection of my sneakers. Price is $3,200 plus shipping.

Tommy,I sent you an email,but I had the wrong guitar,this guitar I bought NEW in 79,I traded it for a Derby and hated my self ever since,It had 8&6 on it new..the othar guitar is rosewood ser# 2457D,and this is 2754D...
I payed $1640.00 for It and inhaled several cigarettes to pay for it(6 nights a week)$45 a night..thats why I would like to have it back,ben playing Mullen now a while sure Is nice but ain't got the tone this babys got...

Charlie,
This is definitely #2754 D. I could not see where any other levers were on it, unless someone filled in the holes and re-flocked it. |

Yea they must have because I had moved the knees around several times,It had a lot of holes in it the LKL2 was off set...if you don't sell it before I get some dough I'll try to get it...are you up for any trading?..CM

| This Emmons originally belonged to Bill Simmons. He got it from Clem Schmitz. Bill played it for a long time but wanted a Zum, so he sold it to me, I kept it for a few years, I then sold it to Jerry Clardy in San Antonio, I then bought it back a year or two later from Jerry, but again had to sell to raise funds. I delivered it to the gentleman who is selling it now. The white paper in the case says Sonny Simmons on it. I installed the mirrored fretboards and the tuneable 2nd string lower. It's the absolute best guitar I ever had, and I regret ever having to sell it. Whoever gets this will be real happy. If only I had the cash.... |

I was told that it once belonged to Bill Simmons, but I didn't want to mentioned it, without verification. |

Well Tommy I'm starting to beleve I'm wrong!!,my wife says it was 2724D but I don't know now..I traded it to a guy In Ohio named Dave Decker,I think it was Ohio,maybe he will chime in and tell me the ser#(If he still has it),but I thank all you guys for your help,sure would love to get her back...Charlie......

Absolutely beautiful original Emmons! I'd buy it at that incredibly low price if I didn't already have one. Heck of a price on this classic beauty.
I will also add, I believe the guitar to be worth much more than asking price and it will only rise in value. I own a 1976 model that 6 grand might be considered. Yes, seriously. |
