This was listed recently but I've never seen anything like it. The shape is like Roy S, but everything else is different. Anyone know?

It does seem quite rare...headstock looks like a BR-9.
Maybe another student model, that didn't get mass-produced.(?) |

it's a BR6 TV model
a limited production, kinda rare, so i guess it should be a sought after model |

O.K. Guys, it IS a Royaltone version 2. Only made in 1956 although this one has a late 1955 serial number. The speculation is that Gibson brought this one out in order to use up the remaining guitar-shaped BR bodies left over at the factory. (It looks like) The knobs have been replaced by Stratocaster knobs; this is a shame as this model had grey Gibson top hat knobs, which were unique to this model.
And now that y'all have had a gander at this fine instrument, I hope y'all don't outbid me _________________ A big THANKS to all my friends, here and everywhere ! |

I promise I won't even bid, no matter how cool it is, as long as you post more pics and maybe a recording or two! |
