I know what you mean, but the ES stamp on a body in 66, and only 66, signifies the guitar was made for an artist, or was handpicked for a major guitar show like NAMM. So he may not be wrong.I cant prove that, other than the original owner told me the dealer he bought it from new in 66 got it there.
