Tim Bridges is coordinating our ASGA Steel Guitar Jam in Birmingham, AL -- Saturday, October 14 -- and it just keeps getting more exciting!

Laney Hicks will close the steel jam with a "Classic Country Concert" from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM! We all agree Laney is one of the greatest pure country vocalists.

She said an up and coming young steel guitarist named "Russ" somebody will be her steel guitarist during the concert as she trying to give this young man a break in the music industry.

However, she has asked three other steel players -- Tyler "The Kid" Hall...Jeremy Drawbaugh...Bill Simmons to play behind her on a song each. Laney said this would also give the young man "Russ" a break as he'll probably be very nervous playing in front of a crowd! HA HA (Got ya Russ!)

Here's the latest update for Saturday, October 14...

I. "STEEL SESSION" Teaching seminar with RUSS HICKS -- 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Registration is only $30 and you can register at the door! Bring your steel and amp.

II. "STEEL JAM" immediately following Russ's seminar -- 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some of the finest players from Alabama will be playing and yes, Russ Hicks has a playing spot too!

III. "CLASSIC COUNTRY CONCERT" with Laney Hicks -- 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

It is all taking place at...
The Rocky Ridge Market & Deli
2501 Rocky Ridge Road
Birmingham (Vestavia), AL 35243

The Rocky Ridge Market/Deli is easy to get to and you can buy food and beverages all day long! If you like more information or would like to have a poster of the events 'emailed' to you, simply email or call me at 817.929.8063.

MARK YOUR CALENDER FOR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14!

Laney--glad to see you're finally getting some recognition you so richly deserve!
I only wish I could be there (by the way, hang on to your regular Steel player, he's a pretty fair-to-middlin' picker)!
As thet say in show bizness-"Break a Leg"!-----Eve says "Hey". and you know we love you both! Dino
